Christ Church Tom Quad

 

Christ Church has step-free access to most areas of the college grounds, including the meadow, with several sections of cobbled stones. There is lift access to the Dining Hall and ramp access to the Christ Church itself.

The main entrance to Lodge has 10 steps and is not accessible via wheelchair. 

The alternative entrance is accessed by a ramp.

The primary entrance to the hall is up a flight of stairs. 

Steps are 300 cm wide, 38 cm deep and 12 cm high.

There is flat-level access to the dining hall via a lift. 

Lift requires fob access which can be acquired by speaking to the Hall Manager.
 

 

 

 

Lift door is 90 cm wide.

The GCR and the JCR share a common entrance from Tom Quad.

Access Level

The JCR entrance is on the same level as this entrance.

The GCR is up stairs, there is no lift or ramp to access the GCR facilities.

First step is 105 cm wide, 14 cm high, and 38 cm deep.

Second step is 105 cm wide, and 20 cm high and 84 cm deep.

A portable ramp can be used for access to the ground floor, granting JCR access.

The space may be difficult to manoeuvre when busy, as it is not very big and there are a couple of couches and chairs.

The door is usually open during visiting hours, with porters present to assist if needed.
