Entry

The primary entrance to the lodge can be found on Parks Road.

This entrance has a large ‘great’ door which is open during the day time. After hours, it is necessary to use an ‘inner’ door. Once past the door, there is also a gate that must be opened.

Access Level

The entrance is located on the ground floor. If the great door is open, then the college can be accessed without having to go up any steps. If it is shut, there is a small step up to the inner door.

There are two steps that have to be walked up in order to access the porter’s lodge, to the left of the entrance.

The area around the door is completely flat when the great door is open. If it is closed, it is necessary to walk up a step, 25 cm high.

The door is more than 2m wide when the great door is open. If it is shut, the inner door and gate are reduced to being 70cm wide.
